BALNEARIO
The projection of this staging arises from reflections, experiences, and the need to develop and present a new perspective on the relationship between body - space - intimacy. With "Balneario," the intention is to explore questions such as: What happens when those spaces clash or oppose each other? How many prejudices, fears, and uncertainties inhabit that deep and little-explored area of our identity? How does the gaze of the other condition us, and how does it construct and affect our behavior?
These questions, arising from the stage, have conditioned our gestures to release tensions, the contained vapors of an anthropological fear of nudity, of being alone and accompanied, of sharing our intimate space with others, to create a space of freedom through dance.

La Malagueña: A Journey Through the Roots
La Malagueña" is not only an emblematic work of Spanish music but also a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of our country. Under the masterful interpretation of Rolando Luna, known for his ability to fuse the roots of traditional music with coantemporary elements, the piece came to life in a vibrant and moving way. The dance interpretation sought to connect elements of Spanish dance with contemporary language, creating a dialogue between movement and sound that resonated with the audience's heart.
Through fluid and passionate movements, I incorporated classical techniques of Spanish dance, while also leaving space for improvisation and contemporary expression. This fusion was not only a tribute to the roots of music and dance but also an exploration of new artistic possibilities, where the past and present meet in a creative embrace.
A PROJECT IN CONNECTION: DANCE AND MUSIC IN SYNERGY
The second staging took place at the National Museum of Fine Arts Theater on February 22, 2024, in collaboration with renowned pianist and composer Rolando Luna. Featuring “La Malagueña” by Ernesto Lecuona and “Si me pudieras querer” by Bola de Nieve, sung by Annys Batista, the performance explored the synergy between live music and contemporary dance. This marked the beginning of a creative project focused on genre fusion and choreographic storytelling. Rooted in the belief that art is a vehicle for emotional and cultural expression, the company sought to move beyond entertainment—using movement and music to provoke reflection and connection
Si me pudieras querer: A Whisper of Nostalgia
Performed by singer Annys Batista with Rolando Luna on piano.
The evening continued with the performance of "Si me pudieras querer," a masterful piece by Bola de Nieve, interpreted by the talented Annys Batista. This piece, filled with emotion and melancholy, added a new dimension to our collaboration. My dance in this piece focused on conveying the vulnerability and yearning nostalgia that emanates from the music. Through subtle and expressive movements, I sought to reflect the depth of the lyrics and the emotionality of Annys's interpretation.
The contrast between the vibrant energy of "La Malagueña" and the delicacy of "Si me pudieras querer" not only highlighted the diversity of styles explored in this new project but also demonstrated how dance can serve as a bridge connecting different emotions and narratives.
